Many people without formal educational backgrounds and without awarded academic degrees, would like to come to Germany and work in a volunteer program in order to help refugees fleeing desperate situations in their native countries adapt and assimilate into their new lives in Germany.

The Excellence Center in Europe provides such an opportunity.

The Excellence Center in Europe is an organization offering volunteer internship programs that are open to everyone, whether or not a person has an academic degree or formal academic experience. By dispensing with academic degree or certificate requirements, the Excellence Center provides its students with a diversity of volunteers who possess many talents and abilities. Lack of formal academic credentials is no barrier to one of our volunteer programs.

How long do Excellence Center volunteer programs run?

At the Excellence Center in Europe you are able to apply for a volunteer program year round. For your convenience your volunteer program can be scheduled to run from one month to three months. You decide what time length you wish to spend volunteering, as well as when to begin your volunteering and end your program. The Excellence Center provides maximum flexibility in scheduling.

What is included in my volunteer program fee?

Your internship will include plenty of opportunities to participate in social and educational activities organized by the Center. Your accomodations with a host family are included, along with a daily breakfast at the Center for the duration of your program.

 You will be participating in city tours of historic sites and other local interests in the city of Halle, and you will have the choice to learn the German or Arabic languages during three hours of instruction per week.

Who is eligible to apply to the internship programs in Germany?

Volunteer internship programs are open to all people between 18 and 75 years old, and to persons possessing any number of talents, experiences, and abilities.
