What can I do during my free time while interning in Germany? 

Interning in Germany doesnā€™t mean that you will be working or doing tasks all the time. Beside the regular tasks required by the internship such as teaching English, participating in the social and educational activities, meeting refugees and migrants and other tasks, you will have free time to do other things.

The Excellence center in Europe charges 1500 euros a month. The fees include the program, accommodation, breakfast, Arabic or German hours, in-country and pre-departure support and a certificate of completion at the end of the internship.

Do I need a visa to intern in Germany?

In order to intern in Germany:

  • You probably wonā€™t need to have or obtain a special kind of visa, a tourist visa which can be valid up to three months is enough. 
  • Citizens of many country can enter Germany without applying for a visa prior to their departure. This means that they get a three-month visa upon their arrival.
  • Other countries might be required to apply for a tourist visa in order to come to Germany and join the program. (Check the requirements to enter Germany with your passport/citizenship.) 

What is the main focus of the internship in Germany at the center?

The Excellence center in Europe focuses on teaching languages including English, German and Arabic. Thus, the main focus of the internship at the center will be teaching English to refugees, migrants and local Germans.

  • Teaching English at the center addresses the conversational part of the English language.
