The Excellence center in Europe has a great deal of experience in hosting internationals who come from all around the world.
It offers varied opportunities depending on your interests and skills.
Located in the city of Halle, it is surrounded by a with a rich cultural history. Halle has been home to Marten-Luther, George Handle and many others.
It is a melting pot of cultures: from locals to refugees, migrants and internationals.

What kind of volunteer opportunities does the center offer?

While the center does not offer a vast amount of volunteer programs in Germany, those offered are unique and provide volunteers with opportunities to better themselves and others. The center offers the following programs:

Volunteering to teach English and Study Arabic
Volunteering to teach English and Study German
Volunteer to write about Germany
Media & Journalism program

Besides these internships and volunteering programs in Halle, Germany, the center offers Arabic and German intensive and non-intensive language courses taught by qualified teachers including:

Study Arabic in Germany (One week to three months)
Intensive and non-intensive German Courses (one week to 12 weeks)

Volunteer Programs for English Speakers in Germany

What do I get while I am volunteering in Germany, at the Excellence center?

Volunteering in Germany and specifically at the Excellence center in Europe will provide you by the following:

A daily breakfast at the Center.

The center organizes daily breakfast starts at 9:30am where all volunteers and interns join together before they start their volunteer work. Participants can also prepare a traditional breakfast from their home country.

Three hours of Arabic or German classes per week.

Volunteers get also three hours of either Arabic or German. Arabic includes either Modern-standard Arabic, Shami Arabic including Syrian or Palestinian dialects. These lessons will be taught by one of our teachers at the center.

Staying with a local host family or in a shared room in the city of Halle.

Our female volunteers stay with a host family in the city of Halle where they experience the daily habits of the family. Our male volunteers stay in a shared room in the city of Halle.

Participating in the Centre’s social and community activities.

The Excellence Center organizes various social activities including BBQs, dinners, movie nights, games and much more.

A tour in the city of Halle Saale to get to know the city and its history.

The center organizes a tour in the city of Halle where participants get to know the history of the city and the most attracted landmarks including Handel House, Martin-Luther University, Museums, Halloren Chocolate Factory and many others.

Who usually applies to volunteer at the center?

The Excellence center in Europe hosts many people from around the world to join one of its programs. Most of the center’s participants come from the USA and UK as well as Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Japan, Singapore and China.

Who is eligible to apply to volunteer at the Excellence center?

Anyone from 18-75 years-old is eligible to apply for any volunteer programs at the center. These volunteer programs don’t require having an academic degree or volunteering experience!

We are very flexible at the Excellence Center, giving you time to choose what is best for you. There are:
