The team of the Excellence Center in Europe is happy to meet people from all over the world and would like to introduce them to the German and Arabic culture here in Halle (Saale), allow them to meet youth, refugees, and students, and offer them tea and coffee. Everyone is always welcome to come and visit the Center Mondays through Fridays.

“I spent 8 weeks at the Excellence Centre in Halle, my second summer doing an “Arabic Intensive Program” . Unlike the academic setting at the University of Wisconsin, Halle was full of life. Arabic came out of the textbooks and into real life—through songs, games, cooking, and even love letters.
We explored history, culture, and the language in a way that made it truly meaningful. Muaz brought Arabic to life, and the experiences in Halle, from trips to museums to visits to Arab restaurants, deeply enriched my learning. There is also university credit available for those looking for an internship to fill school requirements. The EC accepts international volunteers all year long, but the Summer is the most popular time to join our family- and for good reason!
