The Excellence Center offers students and English native speakers a range of unforgettable summer internship programs in Europe and in Germany in particular. During your stay, you will make new friends from all over the world and while experiencing Germany’s diverse culture. Our internationally recognised summer internship programs can range from 1-3 months. You will have the opportunity to gain confidence and skills, learn about the refugee situation in Germany and learn a new language.

Summer Internship Programs in Germany Highlights

The Excellence Center in Europe organizes tailored summer internship programs in Germany based on your needs, goals and interests.

Intensive Arabic or German lessons and conversation with local residents and Arabic speakers;

Gain an understanding of the refugee situation in Germany;

Participating in a variety of educational, social, and community activities organized by the Center. The aim of these gatherings is to provide a space where locals, refugees, immigrants, volunteers, and interns can meet and get to know one another while learning and socializing.

Exploring the beautiful city of Halle.

Traveling Germany during your three-day weekend (Fri-Sun). You could also travel to the nearby Czech Republic.

Immersion by living with a host family, either German or Arabic speakers.

Eating daily breakfast at the Center with your EC family.

Fees cover your guided tours and activities, tuition, accommodation, breakfast, language course, 24/7 program assistance starts from the pre-departure to the end of the program.

The Excellence Center in Europe is located in the city of Halle, Germany, which is near Leipzig and Dresden. The Excellence Center staff is qualified and experienced in organizing short term summer internships and volunteer programs in Germany.

We aim to help refugees adapt to life in Germany. The Excellence Center also offers also short term volunteer and internship programs year round designed to aid the teaching of language and life skills to the many refugees now living in Halle.

How long can I do a summer internship in Germany for?

Our summer internship programs in Germany are designed to be flexible and meet your schedule needs. This means you decide how long you will intern with us, which can be from one month up to three months. What is included in my summer program fee?

– You will reside with a host family in the city of Halle, which gives you the benefit of being immersed in the daily life of the family and the broader community, as well as the opportunity to learn about the German and Arabic cultures, their traditions, and customs.

– From Monday to Thursday, you will join breakfast at the Center

– 20 hours per month of German or Arabic (your choice) language

– Sightseeing tours in the city of Halle.

– Upon the completion of your volunteer program, you will receive a certificate of participation and a recommendation letter.
