Where can I find a good place to study Intensive and Non-Intensive German courses ?

There is no better place to study German than Germany itself. The Excellence Center in Europe is located in the city of Halle in eastern Germany and is a perfect choice if you want to study German in a short time.

The center offers various types of language courses which fit your needs including intensive and non-intensive courses. The center has qualified teachers who are trained to teach, interact and to use educational tools.

What are the available levels of German

The Excellence Center in Europe offers all language levels starting from A1 to C1. Before you apply for the course, you will take a placement test in order to accurately define your language level. However, if you have no knowledge of the language, you will notĀ  need to take any test and be placed in A1 level for the beginners.

What are the available German courses at the Center? 

The center offers two types of German courses, the intensive course and the non-intensive course as following:

Intensive German Course: 20 Hours a week

  • This German course is recommended for those who want to learn as much as possible during their short stay in Germany.
  • Ā It is ideal for those who wish to learn German intensively and in a short period of time.
  • The student takes five days of lessons per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Each lesson lasts for four hours (45-minute class and a 15-minute break per hour), for a total of 20 hours per week.

Non- Intensive German Course: 12 Hours a week

  • The non-intensive German course meets the needs of those who do not want daily lessons or those who simply need more time to follow up on classroom learning or completing homework.
  • Some students want to have more time for other activities or for visiting landmarks in Germany.
  • Three lessons in three days per week. Students can choose which three days they would like for lessons (Monday through Friday).
  • Four hours per lesson (45 minutes of class time and 15 minutes of break each hour) totalling 12 hours per week.

How much do the courses cost?

The cost of the courses differ according to the duration and intensity of the course. The intensive German course, which includes 20 hours of classes a week, starts from 500 Euros a week up to 1850 Euros a month. The non-intensive course, which includes 12 hours of classes a week starts from 370 Euros a week up to 1350 a month.Ā Ā

Who can take a German course at the Center? Is there any age limit?

No, there is no age limit for wanting to learn German. The courses are open to all people who are eager to learn the language. It doesnā€™t matter how old you are, but it does matter how interested you are in studying German.

What are the other benefits of the German language course? 

Besides the German course, the participant will also gain other benefits. These benefits include living with a host family or in a shared room in the city, local visits in the city of Halle, being involved in the social and community activities organized by the center and a daily breakfast at the center.

In addition to this, at the end of the course the participant will receive a certificate and a recommendation letter. The idea of the German course is to have an experience where the participant takes a language course, gets to the know the German culture via the centerā€™s activities and living with a host family as well as visiting other cities in Germany.Ā Ā 

Is there any placement test to take?

Yes, but only by students who already have German language skills, or have studied German previously. Those who do not have German language skills will be placed automatically into our Starter Course.

Are there online German courses?
