“I spent 8 weeks at the Excellence Centre in Halle, my second summer doing an “Arabic Intensive Program” . Unlike the academic setting at the University of Wisconsin, Halle was full of life. Arabic came out of the textbooks and into real life—through songs, games, cooking, and even love letters.
We explored history, culture, and the language in a way that made it truly meaningful. Muaz brought Arabic to life, and the experiences in Halle, from trips to museums to visits to Arab restaurants, deeply enriched my learning. The EC accepts international volunteers all year long, but the Summer is the most popular time to join our family- and for good reason!
