Through its dual missions as a language school and community center, the EC serves an important communal role, providing language services to refugees and migrants for little to no charge. However, the ability of the EC to do this would be impossible without its enthusiastic and capable volunteers who provide the irreplaceable communal service of language instructor, mentor, and cultural ambassador.

This is not to say that Halle is not a welcoming place for refugees and migrants, but rather that there are unfortunate cases where discrimination denies people willing and eager to learn the opportunity to do so. What separates this program from other volunteer programs in Germany is its strict and focused commitment aiding refugees and migrants with their language needs. This is where you come in.

    Our Goal
