The Training Course in Poland had 30 participants from Belgium – DE, Belgium – FL, Belgium – FR, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Romania, and Spain. It was organized by Europejska Fundacja Rozwoju Człowieka (Youth NGO).
The seven-day course goal was to tie environmental and social entrepreneurship, while dealing with sustainable development in the NGO sector.
The “TIE3” training course pursued the

boosting knowledge and entrepreneurship education in the field of environment
and sustainable development;

sustainable development in all its varying dimensions (economic, environmental,
social – which are in line with the Europe 2020 priorities for smart,
sustainable, and inclusive growth);
– Means to foster the quality of youth work in line with the Agenda 2020 and
2030;
– Means to identify factors for living well in different European regions and
countries, along with didactic materials and examples of good practice in the
field and experience of the partnership;
-Development of spaces for the sharing of ideas and raising awareness regarding “green approaches” in daily life;
-Strategies for training youth workers to understand and critically analyze environmental problems and conflicts within specific local and European contexts;
-Planning that will impact our local communities with a healthier approach to sustainable development, including the creation of focused policies for our territory and countries.
Mohammed stated that „it was a great experience in Poland. I met a lot of new people from around the world; I made new friends and had a lot of fun, all the while learning from one another. I learned many strategies for developing effective environmental projects and an Eco-Town plan which can be implemented in my city Halle, Saale, Germany.“
Mohammed concluded by saying that he learned a lot and was very inspired by everyone in the course. He not only learned from the course, but he also learned from the participants. „ Everyone was active in the training. Five of us worked in a small group and developed a project which created a Center to educate young people in strategies for protecting the environment, eco-systems, and sustainable lifestyles in their communities. It was a unique environment for non-formal learning during the training course“, commented Mohammed.
