There are several reasons why Germany is this way, but the two main reasons are as follows:
Germany has a Rich History
For those who are wondering why they should volunteer in Germany, here it is; Germany has one of the richest histories in the world. The history of Germany begins with the birth of the so-called German nation in ancient Roman times, in the eighth century AD. This extends through the history of the Holy Roman Empire from the ninth century until 1806.
This empire includes what is today known as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, The Lowlands, Eastern France and most of Northern Italy. After the middle of the fifteenth century, it was often known as the “Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation.
Between 1815 and 1866 the so-called German Confederation was formed, then the German Empire (1871-1918) and then the Republic of Weimar (1919-1933), followed by the rule of Hitler and the founding of Nazi Germany (1933-1945). This ended by the end of World War II where Germany lost the war and most of its Infrastructure.
The war also resulted in the division of Germany between the Soviet Communist camps and the liberal Western camp. Germany became comprised of West Germany, the Federal Republic of Germany, East Germany, or the German Democratic Republic of Germany. The partition continued until 1990, when the collapse of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the Soviet Union. This rich history makes people so interested in volunteering in Germany and learning more about its history, especially during the Second World War.
Germany hosted 1 million refugees (2014-2016)
During the refugee crisis, Germany had hosted the large number of the refugees who came mostly from Syria due the ongoing war. Besides Syrians, there are also refugees from East European countries and Africa as well. These refugees have faced, and are still facing, challenges to integrate with the Germany society, as well as the German system. This means that these refugees need help from those who are more educated and qualified to train and provide them with much needed knowledge, especially in Western countries like Germany. These refugees can benefit from teaching from qualified and passionate individuals. This is the main reason that answers the question, why to volunteer in Germany?
