Individuals who come to the Excellence Center to study Arabic in Germany2018-2019 will gain a rich language and cultural immersion experience. In Halle, Germany, where our Arabic programs take place, there is a large Arab community. During their studies, participants in our study Arabic programs will simultaneously be able to experience Arab culture. There are many beautiful aspects of Arab culture, including the hospitality and kindness of Arabs.

Moreover, students will be able to taste delicious, authentic Arabic meals during their studies. Engaging in Arab culture in Germany also means that participants in our Arabic study programs will be able to practice their language skills often. Inside the classroom, students will improve their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Outside the classroom, students will be able to make use of all they are learning at the Excellence Center. It may sound strange that you can be immersed in Arab culture while in Germany, but it is certainly possible. Especially considering the network of connections the Excellence Center has with the Arab community in Halle.

When you study Arabic in Germany 2018-2019, you also have the unique opportunity to participate in the educational, social, and community events hosted by the Excellence Center. These activities grant you another great opportunity to practice your language skills and meet native Arabic speakers, since many Arab immigrants and refugees participate in the Center’s educational, social, and community activities. Some of these activities include musical and cultural nights, going on tours of the city of Halle, and so much more.

• Studying Modern Standard Arabic, the Palestinian spoken dialect, or the Syrian spoken dialect

Studying Arabic in Germany 2018-2019 also means that you have the option of studying Modern Standard Arabic, the Palestinian spoken dialect, or the Syrian spoken dialect. Students who want to learn a combination of two of these options are welcome to do so as well. Arabic students at the Excellence Center in Germany also have options when it comes to their class size. We offer programs for students to study language one-to-one with an Arabic teacher or in the classroom setting with a group of around 5 students. Students can decide depending on their learning preference.
